My Trip To India

 

A friend and textile/jewelry designer asked me to accompany her on a project to India.  As an art appraiser for 20 years, I suddenly found myself in Jaipur. There, I was introduced to the gemstone artisans whose faceting and cutting go back hundreds of years. I was taken by the beauty and energy of all the raw gemstones that come through Jaipur. Jewelry making had always been a hobby, but after visiting India, I knew I had to bring the joy, beauty, and energy of these gems back to Annapolis. Now I source all of my beads from all natural gemstone rocks and have them cut by the artisans that I now call my friends. Unlike the glass-filled beads or heat-treated gems that you see in most stores here, all of my beads are 100% pure and natural gemstones.

How I Work

  • I work closely with dealers to find natural, non-heat treated stones

  • Because they are much higher quality than other treated stones, my gems feature the true beauty and power of gemstones

  • I am happy to work with clients if they have a specific vision in mind and would love to help them make it a reality!
